Under the very classy cover of Bruno here is a compilation that it is the visible face of the festival-iceberg which will not have sunk any Titanic but will have launched a bunch of jazzmen, past masters and future sprouts, on the boats of its line-ups. Two parts of history, the one that was made in Isère on the banks of the Rhone river, the one that will be made in the same place. An intergenerational record? Not even, and it is so much better. Just the selecta of lives recorded in JAV and seven inventions not yet tested on stage, all of them selected by the most advised French labels. Gilberto Gil dances with the falsely quiet lounge of Leon Phal, Lalo Schifrin comes to take language with the Strasbourgians Emile Londonien, Arnaud Dolmen stays keeping mixes and inflammable blends. Two parts of history, therefore, this disc, with rebirths, creation, utopias and epiphanies. Definitely not a compilation this disc, but a collection of fragments of history in progress.

Juste la selecta de lives enregistrés à JAV et d’invention pas encore éprouvées en scène, selecta d’un des labels français les plus avisés. Gilberto Gil dance avec la lounge faussement tranquille de Leon Phal, Lalo Schifrin vient prendre langue avec les strasbourgeois d’Émile Londonien, Arnaud Dolmen pose, en gardien des mix et mélanges inflammables. Deux pans d’histoire, donc, ce disque, avec renaissances, création, utopies et épiphanies. Définitivement pas une compile ce disque, mais une collection de fragments d’histoire en cours.
