C’mon. Boolvar’s Gros Canard is coming, and not by the back roads. Right from the Highway. Frontal route. This EP talks ‘bout Krautrock full of crushed glass, ‘bout bending everything that can break under pressure. C’mon, one should not test the limits, the time is with the urgency. Vazy, it is precisely this small musical western which opens the disc. Without joke. The stetsons have long since flown under the preaching chanted by the flutist, hardly intelligible by its content, clearly powerful by its intention. Emergency, emergency, emergency. Le monde avance comme un dingo et il va falloir trouver cette foutue pédale de décélarateur. Not So Beautiful Planet, avec son impatience pendulaire à la Oscillations, le redit tout net. Notamment dans la mini-élégie lyrique granuleuse des 2 dernières minutes du track. No time to fade out. Il va falloir trouver des combines pour survivre encore un peu. Puis, il y a Hulk et le Gros Canard. Sonores et astucieux. L’astuce est native chez Delphine Joussein et Sheikh Anorak. Que ce soit dans leur solo ou au cœur de Nout pour la flûtiste sous effets. L’astuce et la combine, c’est peut-être justement ce qui se cache dans ce court disque, violent, matois et génialement nécessaire.
