À l’occasion du retour des beaux jours, je vous ai concocté une nouvelle Take 5 toute dédiée à la basse ! Contre ou pas, on a souvent du mal à l’entendre, vous ne l’avez jamais remarqué ? Surtout en concert, c’est bien trop souvent embêtant. Alors voilà, aujourd’hui, je voulais laisser la place à ces instruments graves, sont souvent associés au rythme ou au swing. Ils sont pourtant aussi de magnifiques instruments mélodiques avec une voix unique que l’on entend, à mon goût, trop peu. Voici donc cinq morceaux d’univers tous différents et assez récents, de bassistes et contrebassistes extraordinaires et qui, j’espère, vous donneront envie d’explorer encore plus ces instruments de géants. Qui dit nouvelle playlist, dit nouvelles propositions sonores. Et cette fois elles n’ont pas été pensées avec un mini fil conducteur comme j’aime le faire d’habitude. ¡ Ay Caramba ! J’espère que vous allez bien amigos ? Recette Piña Colada : douce, sucrée, qui fait tourner la tête et peut être même remuer les popotins. On zigzague dans le vent soufflé lors des trois derniers concerts du Bloc : Les standards de Jazz, la musique tradi-expérimentale et un répertoire presque inconnu. Je pensais d’abord faire le lien entre musiques traditionnelles et les standards de Jazz, montrer que nous avons un répertoire colossal, tout un instrumentarium, des façons de jouer/interpréter et que tout cela on ne le voit ni ne l’entend suffisamment. Et puis, j’en suis même venu à me dire que je pouvais aller un peu plus loin, jusqu’à la gaillarde pour relier ces points. Au final, j’ai mis un peu de tout ça et j’en suis assez content. J’espère que vous aussi vous entreverrez ces liens imperceptibles et surtout, que vous prendrez plaisir à écouter cette nouvelle sélection musicale ! Hasta la proxima amigos <3
